AFBR-57F5UMZ-ELX is a high-performance 16G Fibre Channel (16GFC) SFP+ multimode optical transceiver launched by Avago (now integrated into Broadcom). The suffix "ELX" represents industrial-grade wide temperature specifications, designed for harsh scenarios such as Storage Area Networks (SAN), data center core links, and industrial automation. Adopting a standard SFP+ hot-pluggable package, it supports 14.025Gbps (16GFC) transmission rate, backward compatible with 8G/4GFC. Equipped with an 850nm VCSEL laser and OM3/OM4 multimode fiber, it achieves stable transmission of 100m-150m, perfectly compatible with storage switches and HBA cards of brands like Brocade, Cisco, and QLogic.
