    The Broadcom 9500-8i is a PCIe 4.0 x8 tri-mode HBA adapter powered by the SAS3808 chip. It is an enterprise-grade pass-through storage adapter supporting SAS, SATA and NVMe storage media, widely deployed for internal server hard disk expansion, virtualization, database and distributed storage scenarios. Operating purely in JBOD pass-through mode without onboard hardware RAID, the card allows hard disks to be managed by the operating system, reducing performance overhead from RAID controllers. It is compatible with cloud platforms, hyper-converged and storage servers.

    Equipped with one SFF-8654 SlimSAS port that breaks out to 8 internal storage lanes, the 9500-8i delivers SAS speed up to 12Gb/s, SATA at 6Gb/s, and supports NVMe devices. A single card can support a maximum of 1024 SAS/SATA drives or 32 NVMe devices for excellent expandability. It comes with a full-height bracket and an additional low-profile bracket, compatible with rack and blade servers.
